Welcome to Architectural Services Portsmouth & Chichester. We produce home extension plans, plans for planning applications and building regulation specifications for house extensions, loft conversions, garden rooms, internal alterations and new builds.

Our office covers the following areas
Portsmouth, Havant, Waterloovile, Emsworth, Hayling Island, Thorney Island, Chichester, West Wittering, Littlehampton, Selsey, Midhurst, Fernhurst, Petworth and the surrounding towns and villages.

Simple 5 step process
We will take you through the complete pre-build process, from your initial ideas, creating your plans for planning permission, submitting your building regulations application until you obtain approval through a simple 5 step process:

Step 1 - Free design consultation
We offer a free design consultation at your home where your local surveyor will discuss your ideas and advise you on the best way to extend and improve your home. We will then decide which route to take, either Permitted development or Full Planning application.

Step 2 - Electronic measured Survey
Once commissioned, we will undertake a full electronic measured survey of your home and produce a proposed design for your approval, usually within 10 working days.

Step 3 - Produce drawings
Once you have approved the design we will draw up the plans for planning permission ready for submission to the local authority. This is usually done within 10 working days.

Step 4 - Submit Plans to local planning authority
Once you've given final approval we then submit the planning application plans on your behalf to the local authority, where we liaise with them in order to achieve approval. This process usually takes 8 weeks.

Step 5 - produce building regulations applications & specifications

Once planning has been approved, building regulations drawings & specifications can be produced for submission to your local Building Control department. This also includes any structural elements for which structural calculations may be required.

Checkaprofessional information for Architectural Services

Service from Paul was excellent from start to finish. Explained the process and for somebody who has never embarked on a building project it was reassuring to know each step. Came up with ideas on what would look good in terms of drawings and quality of drawings was exceptional. Communication was excellent and even when we misplaced drawings new sets were sent out straight away.

G. Berry, Denmead
"It's not an easy task to describe & get someone to understand your ideas & for them to be as passionate about them as what you are. Our first meeting with Paul was just so comfortable. Immediately he understood exactly what we wanted, what we liked & everything we hated in a design and how we envisaged it looking.

Paul is enthusiastic & passionate and we would have no hesitation in recommending him. It has been a real pleasure!"
